Recently, Vanguard reading teacher Debbie Gilbert was interviewed by Scientific Learning for an article they wanted to write about their Fast ForWord and Reading Assistant products.  In it, both Ms. Gilbert and the Vanguard School were praised for their students’ gains in reading, comprehension, memory, and processing.

We are very proud of Ms. Gilbert and the work she and the school are doing to better our students’ success rate, both in high school and college.  Great Work!!

The Vanguard School’s senior class of 2010 had their graduation ceremonies on Friday, May 28, on the Vanguard campus.  Families, friends, staff, and students watched as 40 seniors earned their high school diplomas and began the next chapter in their lives.

Class President Emily Jensen (Texas) welcomed the guests of the graduating students, who represented 13 states and 9 countries.  There were five seniors who spoke at graduation about the difficult time they had experienced in school before coming to Vanguard.  They also told of their plans to go on to college, after gaining confidence and knowledge that they can succeed!
