There are a variety of options available to families to help finance a Vanguard School education.  In addition to these options, the Internal Revenue Service has allowed and continues to allow taxpayers a deduction for medical care under IRS Regulation Section 1.213-1 (e) (v) (a) for the cost of attendance at the Vanguard School of Lake Wales, Florida.

Scholarships

Financial Aid through the Vanguard School
The Vanguard School offers partial scholarships to families based on financial need only.  The scholarships are open to boarding, day and international students.  Families may submit a completed application to the school and to TADS (Tuition Aid Data Services) and are required to submit a copy of the most recent Federal Income Tax Return (when applicable).  The Vanguard School does not offer merit scholarships.  VGS Scholarship Application

McKay Scholarship Program (Florida students)
In order to be eligible for the McKay Scholarship Program a student must be a public school student, have an Individual Education Plan (IEP), and have been enrolled and reported for funding in a Florida public school during the October and February Florida Education Finance Program surveys (Grades K-12).  Vanguard is an approved school under the FL Dept of Education to provide McKay Scholarships. The funding provided for the students who attend a public school in special education will be transferred to Vanguard under this scholarship program; funding under the McKay Scholarship does not cover the full amount of tuition.  The remaining tuition is covered through payments from the parents or other financing arrangements.  http://www.floridaschoolchoice.org/Information/McKay/
