Today we celebrated Veterans Day. It was an opportunity to honor those who have served in the United States and our Allies' Armed Forces over the years and say thank you for all that they have done for us. We have four members of our staff who our veterans that we especially wanted to recognize: Mr. Albert Alexander (US Air Force), Ms. Kris Fitzgerald (US Air Force), Mr. Selvin Walker (US Army), and Mrs. Gladys Melendez (US Army and Reserves). We are so proud of them, and all that they have accomplished in their lives, as well as what they gave back to our country and what they continue to give to our school. Thank you! Our art students added to the event by decorating the Performing Arts Center and the Cafeteria for the special day.

This week we had our second hurricane make up week. It was English classes this week, and the students looked at elements of fiction, prediction, allusion, and more. December will be science make up, and those dates are December 5-8.

Basketball season has begun, practices are happening each afternoon, and the games will begin soon. We hope you will take the opportunity to come see some of our teams play, as there are three teams playing during the season. Most games begin in December, and the schedules will be posted to the website soon.

Please note students were given school pictures this week. Encourage them to bring the pictures home over Thanksgiving Break.
